Case Law Clarity

Visitors to the V.O. website may already have noticed that it has recently been expanded with a new section: Case Law Clarity. With this addition, the website responds to the growing need for clear and consistent explanations of complex legal developments in patent law. This section discusses recent and noteworthy decisions from the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC), providing additional context and analysis.

The purpose of Case Law Clarity is not only to summarize the relevant rulings, but also to provide insight into their broader significance and potential implications for practice.

MIP Award for V.O.

The annual benchmark survey among IP service providers worldwide, conducted by the authoritative British yearbook Managing IP, has once again resulted in an impressive list of awarded firms and individual professionals. V.O. was also among the winners. During the Award Ceremony on May 1, traditionally held in London, the winners were announced. Representing V.O., Jetze Beeksma was present to gratefully accept the Europe Cross-Border Patent Litigation Team of the Year award. This is a recognition of which we can be particularly proud.
