Amsterdam Chemistry Network
Recently, our office joined the Amsterdam Chemistry Network (ACN), a networking organization for chemistry and molecular life sciences in the Amsterdam region. This offers our Amsterdam office an excellent opportunity to get even more in touch with the local chemistry community. For example, through conferences in which our office can participate or contribute with speakers or panelists, or through seminars, competitions and partnering. Amsterdam is bustling with chemical activity and V.O. is keen to show what it can do for the community in terms of IP services. The contacts on behalf of our Amsterdam office are Joris Goetze and Henri van Kalkeren.

In memoriam Mark Einerhand
On 14 April, our dear colleague and partner Mark Einerhand passed away. Mark's passing has affected us deeply. Since joining V.O. in 1998, he has made a lasting contribution to the success of our firm. In addition to being a highly valued colleague, he was a widely respected authority on biochemistry and medical biotechnology. With a strong scientific background and a deep commitment to his clients - especially within the Life Sciences sector - Mark was both passionate and principled in his work. His keen intellect, warmth and dedication made him a unique and much-loved presence within our organization. V.O. extends its sincere condolences to his family and loved ones and wishes them strength during this difficult time.

IAM Patent 1000 and IP STARS
Every year, the authoritative IP guides IAM Patent 1000 and IP STARS (Managing IP) publish the results of their comparative research among IP firms worldwide. For this purpose, extensive questionnaires are provided and referees are approached. This year, too, this resulted in very favorable ratings for V.O.. From IAM, our firm has again received the designation ‘recommended firm’. Furthermore, eleven colleagues were praised as ‘recommended individual’. IP STARS issued a fine listing for our trademark practice. For patent work, IP STARS will announce the results at the end of June. Furthermore, nine colleagues have been listed as ‘patent stars’. A score we can be very proud of.
Last but not least, V.O. has been officially recognized in the report ‘Financial Times - Europe's Leading Patent Law Firms 2025’. See also the Awards page on our website: www.vo.eu/home/about-vo/awards/.
